It started with real client work.
After more than a decade in the UAE, in commercial finance and FP&A for multinational groups, I moved to the UK in early 2025 and co-founded CompassPoint Consulting, combining CFO expertise with technology, where I serve as CFO to SMEs.
I have had a romance with technology my whole career, so testing Claude on real finance work was the natural next step. I got it wrong plenty of times, corrected it piece by piece, and ended up with a method I trust enough to sign work produced with it.
Keeping that to myself made no sense. Finance people are not short of ability. They are short of a straight answer from someone who does the work.
So I started the AI for Finance Circle: the place I wish had existed when I began. Finance people learning from practitioners, on work that has actually been done, with the standard of our profession intact.
AIFC is being built as a platform: a place where finance people learn AI properly, and where the practitioners who have worked it out can teach it.
That starts with The Circle: a growing group of finance professionals learning and applying AI together.
